Mobile Emergency Battery Roadside Service FAQs

Can you provide a jump start at my home, workplace, or roadside location?

Yes. Onward provides emergency jump starts and battery replacement assistance at homes, workplaces, parking lots, jobsites, and roadside locations throughout Southwest Ohio.

How do I know whether I need a jump start or a new battery?

A discharged battery may start and continue operating after receiving a safe jump. A battery that is damaged, severely weakened, or unable to hold a charge may require replacement. We test the battery and evaluate the immediate starting condition before recommending the appropriate service.

How fast can you get to me?

Response times vary based on your location, traffic, weather, and current service demand, but we typically arrive in 45 minutes or less throughout Southwest Ohio. When you call, we'll provide an honest estimated arrival time before dispatching.

Can you replace my battery on-site?

Yes. Onward provides on-site battery replacement for many passenger vehicles, light-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, and EV 12-volt systems. Availability depends on the required battery, vehicle configuration, access location, and manufacturer procedures.

Is the replacement battery included in the service price?

No. The replacement battery is charged separately because battery size, type, capacity, and vehicle requirements vary. We’ll provide the battery and service cost before purchasing or installing a replacement.

Do you offer mobile semi-truck tire replacement?

Yes. We provide mobile roadside tire replacement for semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, commercial trucks, buses, and heavy-duty vehicles throughout Southwest Ohio. We can source new commercial tires through our vendor network, and for select sizes, we keep a limited inventory of inspected serviceable used tires to minimize downtime and get you moving again quickly.

Do you offer mobile semi-truck battery replacement?

Yes. Onward provides mobile battery replacement, installation, battery testing, and jump start services for semi-trucks, commercial trucks, buses, box trucks, RVs, and other heavy-duty vehicles. If your batteries have failed, we'll diagnose the issue and when available, install replacement batteries when needed to get you back on the road.

Can you replace the 12-volt battery in an electric vehicle?

Yes, for many EV makes and models. A failed 12-volt battery can leave an EV unable to unlock, start, shift, or accept a charge even when the high-voltage battery has power. Replacement availability depends on the battery type, location, and manufacturer requirements.

What happens if my vehicle still won’t start after a jump?

A jump start cannot correct problems involving a failed starter, alternator, wiring, grounds, control modules, or another mechanical or electrical issue. If the vehicle does not start, we can perform limited roadside testing, but additional diagnostic service or towing may be required and any extended diagnostic time is billed separately.
